| Tim Friday (right) and Adrian Fry are a long-term partnership of Landscape Designer and Landscape Builder and have been designing and building gardens together since 1992.
They graduated and spent the first 12 years of their careers in the UK and then, since 2004, they have operated their own landscape design and build company, Take It Outside Ltd, here in Auckland. Over the years, they have developed a passion for the natural materials used in landscape creation, and felt the need to establish a place where anyone and everyone could come for inspiration and to select for themselves from a wide range of naturally beautiful garden materials and features. Based at 114 The Strand, Parnell, in Auckland Tim and Adrian have established a popular landscaped display garden around their design office. The garden is adjacent to a coffee shop, which has taken advantage of its 'oasis in the city' like peaceful-serenity, by opening its French doors, onto the deck overhanging the water feature. The garden is a unique display of natural landscaping materials and the ways in which they can be used. It provides many a nook and cranny to be seated in, to enjoy the garden whilst sipping on refreshments from the café, or eating lunch away from the office. You will also find examples of the paving range laid in situ and displayed on boards. There are also samples of the stones available to take away with you, if you wish to see them in relation to your property. The garden is unfenced and open for viewing at any time, and is usually manned during office hours.
